I’ve been coaching people all of my life, but more formally since 1992. My clients are a wide mix across a variety of industries, ranging from executives at a billion dollar, privately-owned global business, and managers of a medium-sized, regional retail chain, to an owner of a local company. And just about everything in between — managers at all levels, owners, CEOs and sales teams.
I begin the process with an assessment of every person I coach, using a diverse set of tools that focuses on behavioral traits rather than personalities. Among these assessments are the DISC, the 360 Degree Assessment, and Strengths Finder 2.0, to name a few. Establishing a client’s baseline behavioral pattern gives me insight on how best to guide them, while equipping them with the skills they need to better understand themselves. In practice, this enables them to relate to, and understand, the behavior of others — in both their professional and personal lives.
When you coach with me you can expect the following:
- Coaching sessions are once a month (unless you request additional time), either in person or over the phone.
- The length of the coaching session is between 1 to 2 hours per month, depending on your needs.
- My goal is that you develop a strong method of self-discovery.
- I prepare you to coach-up your direct reports.
If you’d like to find out more about how I can help you, contact me. I’d love to sit down and talk over a cup of coffee (or in my case, hot chocolate).
“I’ve worked with Dennis for the past three years. He has provided valuable insights during our time together which have application in both my personal and professional life. I find Dennis to be a great resource for executive development and a wonderful friend. I recommend him without reservation.”
“Working with Coach Dennis has been a great experience for me. The growth in my leadership skills has made me more effective in dealing with my peers, as well as my direct reports. He has also armed me with some effective tools and pushes me to become better every time we meet. Beyond the workplace I have also gained better understanding of how to be a better husband and father. I am still a work in progress but my time with Dennis has helped me become better on many fronts in my life.”
